Profiled Decking - Steel
Steel decking from Economic Profiles provides strong structural support for roofs and walls. It is suitable for use where large spans and heavy loadings are required.

A number of profiles are available dependent on requirements and the decks can be used with or without thermal insulation and in single or double skin applications.

The choice of deck profile is dependent on span, imposed load and aesthetic considerations.

Availability and finishes

The decks are available in depths of 46 - 160mm and cover widths of 750mm to 1000mm in a range of colours either Plastisol or Polyester coated. Plain Aluzinc finish is also available.

Gauges

Decks are manufactured in thicknesses as indicated in the tables below.

Acoustics
Perforated decks are used as inner skins of walls and roofs when sound absortion is required. The decks are web perforated and are used to reduce sound level in an area producing noise instead of reflecting sound which happens with solid sheeting.

Perforated patterns are:-
Rv 5.0 - 12.12 i.e. 5mm diameter holes at 12.12mm distance between holes
Rv 5.0 - 8.0 i.e. 5mm dia holes at 8.0mm distance between holes.

The perforations will give between 8.2 - 23.5%/m² perforated area dependent on the profile chosen.
Accessories
A range of profiled fillers are available for all deck profiles - acoustic, fire block and polyethylene option.
